5-Day Intensive Training – 35 CEC’s

This 5-day, live intensive training will be held at Zoom from US and Canada. The most advanced skills required to effectively deliver the 21-session, Intergenerational Trauma Treatment Model (ITTM) with adults, caregivers and children will be extensively demonstrated by Valerie Copping, Psy.D., author/developer.

The ITTM is the only available and evidenced-based model to treat and resolve the un-resolved trauma impact history of the caregiver/adult prior to engaging children or youth in their own treatment (with the Caregiver present).

The minimum training for a group of mental health clinic professionals who implement the ITTM at their employer’s clinic is 10-days. Therefore, in order to benefit from the 5-day intensive-in-person-training, approximately 20 hours of your time prior the training is required (via learning and understanding the ITTM Training Manual Material).

It stands to reason that because the ITTM is a BIG model with BIG outcomes, BIG training is required. Therefore, a solid base of knowledge and understanding of the ITTM’s theories and methods is required to ensure the 5-day, intensive, in-person training will be of ANY clinical or practical value. A certificate of completion will be provided, and 35 CEC credits are approved.

Online Prerequisite Training

Participants will be provided with materials and videos several months prior to the 5-day intensive. Participants are expected to have a full understanding of the ITTM prior to the 5-Day Intensive ITTM Training.

Supervision & Consultation

3 hours of Clinical Supervision (delivered for 1-hour x 3 consecutive months included in registration fee) for each clinician (schedule to be individually determined, based on each practitioner’s implementation schedule).
