Breaking the Cycle of Intergenerational Trauma – 2 CEC’s

Participants will be introduced to tools and strategies to address the intergenerational cycle of trauma with adults, children and youth. Specifically the ITTM redefines the caregiver’s role in the treatment process, securely leads them back to their own unresolved trauma impact histories, and then guides them to become the best emotional and mental health support for their child.
Presenters– Valerie Copping, Psy.D. Author, Developer (ON, Canada) & Uriel Stephens, MSW, Director, Family Services, Easter Seals (MI, USA).
Valerie is the author of Re-Circuiting Trauma Pathways in Adults, Parents, and Children (Routledge, 2018), a foundational work on intergenerational trauma treatment for children and adults. She is also the developer, lead trainer, and clinical consultant for the Intergenerational Trauma Treatment Model (ITTM) program.
